We invite you to experience the warmth of the locals, the street performers, and traditional cuisine—which is the epitome of comfort food, telling the story of a city that is over 400 years old. We will trace the roots of tradition with dishes highlighting the authentic taste of First Nations cuisine, the rugged Nordic wilderness of boreal cuisine, the depth of French cuisine and the influence of cozy British dishes.
This kick-off to the 2019 Producers Educational Conference will take place at the Musée de la Civilisation – a museum whose mission is to make known the history and culture that has enriched Québec. Overlooking the Saint Lawrence River and mere steps away from the Auberge Saint-Antoine, this evening will be a perfect introduction to the joie de vivre that Québécois are known for.
Breakfast will be served for Producers and Swiss Re Corporate Solutions team members in "Cabaret Champlain", a room imbued with 18th Century Charm. The cabarets of New France were lively meeting places, watering holes, and restaurants for soldiers, sailors, adventurers, and trappers billeted in or traveling through Québec City. We are excited to start the day with a warm and social breakfast, a cabaret of our own. Following breakfast, we will host our 2019 Producers Educational Conference Business Meeting in the adjacent L’Auditorium.
We invite spouses and guests to enjoy breakfast at leisure with a dining credit for Chez Muffy Restaurant or in-room dining.
All attendees are invited to take part in optional pre-selected hosted activities. Unique this year, we are also offering a morning optional activity for spouses and guests who would like to partake in a rare and special experience of their own during the business meeting.

Optional activities that are held mid-day will incorporate lunch – see your activity guide for confirmation. A lunch per diem will be given to those enjoying the day at leisure or partaking in activities that do not include lunch.

Dishes made with local terroir and prepared with a mixture of traditional and avant-garde cooking techniques are the heart of Québec City fine dining. Take pleasure in artistically presented food crafted with high-quality local ingredients.
You and your guest will receive a personalized dinner invitation from one of your Swiss Re Corporate Solutions hosts to delight in an incomparable dinner from one of Québec City’s renowned chefs.
We welcome our guests to enjoy breakfast on their own with a dining credit for Chez Muffy Restaurant or In-Room dining. Should you wish to try a local restaurant or pâtisserie, your Swiss Re Travel Directors and Local Staff have fabulous recommendations.

We invite our guests for a quintessential Québécois experience. A you will soon learn, maple is used in almost every aspect of Québec’s gastronomy. From maple water to hand-crafted chocolates, sugar, taffy rolled on snow and syrup, maple is one of the most popular local products in Québec’s traditional cuisine.
We will venture into the maple forest, tap our feet to Québécois folk music and warm up with traditional country cooking. Come prepared to sing, dance and enjoy a family-style, near-gluttonous meal and learn how much better everything tastes when drizzled with locally made maple syrup.

For our final night of the 2019 Producers Educational Conference, we invite you to get dressed up for an elegant and magical evening; surely one you will never forget.
Before heading to the airport or to enjoy an extended stay on your own, we invite guests to stop in to the Swiss Re Corporate Solutions Hospitality Suite to say your good-byes and enjoy a casual breakfast at your leisure. To-go options will be available for those with early departures.
We are delighted to assist you in extending your time in Québec. Unique to this year's destination, it is also very easy to extend your stay in another area of the Canadian Province should you wish to venture away from the city. Your Swiss Re Event Manager has designed a few itinerary suggestions, but will work with you to answer questions, share additional ideas and help you make the most of your time after the Producers Educational Conference.
When completing the registration form, please indicate your preferred arrival and departure dates/length of your stay as well as any specific details that can assist your Event Manager before contacting you to discuss further. A few important items to note:
Due to the Grand Prix in nearby Montreal the week before, we highly recommend extending your stay after the Producers Educational Conference due to availability on preferred flights, hotel rooms, and the best dining reservations.
Your Swiss Re Event Manager is happy to assist with insight and coordination, but unable to make reservations on your behalf at hotels other than the Auberge Saint-Antoine. Additionally, Swiss Re is happy to cover roundtrip ground transportation between Québec City Jean Lesage International Airport and the Auberge Saint-Antoine, but any alternative transfers post-conference will be at your own expense. Thank you for your understanding!
If you are simply looking for one or two additional nights to unwind and relax on your own after the Conference, we are happy to extend your stay over the weekend at the Auberge Saint-Antoine with a negotiated rate of $439.00 CAD plus taxes. The city is easily walkable, and we can make suggestions for activities, museums and restaurants you may not have had time to enjoy during the week.
Montréal is home to 33 kilometers of connecting passageways of plentiful shopping, renowned entertainment, historic architecture, glorious food, vibrant culture and a night life that never stops. For those that won't be quite ready to head home on Friday, and want to experience a busier, exhilarating city with much to see and do, then we recommend heading to the big city.
It is a three hour trip between Québec City and Montreal whether you rent a car, hire a driver or take the Via Rail train. The Québec City train station is steps from the Auberge Saint-Antoine making for an easy and enjoyable transfer between cities and once you're in Montreal, there's no need for a car. The other great part – the Montréal-Trudeau Airport is connected via direct flight to some 150 destinations offered by 30 carriers and welcomes over 19 million passengers annually, meaning your return flight options and overall travel time are even better.
Your Swiss Re Event Manager has a surplus of dining recommendations, activities and experiences to share with you and will help guide your decision on where to stay based on your interests. A few favorites – William Gray, Hotel Le St. James, Ritz Carlton or the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth.
We recommend a visit to Charlevoix for the traveler who enjoys relaxation, gastronomy and nature. At a little more than an hour’s drive from Québec City, the landscape inspires with its two national parks, celestial mountains, and majestic river. Since the impact of a meteorite more than 400 million years ago, it is said that energy from the sea and the mountain clear one's mind and awaken the senses.
Charlevoix is also known for its gastronomic adventure called the "Flavour Trail.” Here ciders, traditionally made beers, cheeses and exquisite chocolates, organic meat, well raised ducks and products from the farm all contribute to its renown. Whether you stop at the producers for a tasting or sit down to dinner, Charlevoix’s agrotourism tour is a fabulous experience.
A unique alternative to renting a car, the Train de Charlevoix is a rail journey from Quebec City along the St. Lawrence River that makes stops in coastal towns and villages. Should you find yourself enjoying a stopover and want to linger longer for lunch and more exploration, you can easily board on a later train.
Where to stay? We recommend Le Germain Charlevoix Hotel & Spa for those who might enjoy a Nordic Spa experience and farm-to-table food (also conveniently located at a train stop) and the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu for those who would appreciate the 27-holes of world-class golf, hiking, nearby whale-watching and the grandeur of a hotel built in 1899.
